Nice idea.
I would presume an initial infrastructure cost and then simply rent a generator for the frost season. It would be interesting to see the cost per acre for installation / running.
Kudos also to Cresswell Electrical for installation services.
Well done to Daniel Le Brun at No 1 Family Estate (web site here and selection of undoubtedly fine wines (responsibly produced)).

Jack, this technology was put to a vineyard manager as an alternative to frost fans. His reply, apparently the wires get in the way of the workers and machines so it is no good. And yes, they have frost fans.
Not a surprising answer is it?
Hardly. However, perhaps if you want to make use of a piece of land in a frost prone location, close to people, AND YOU CARED ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORS, then you would consider it. Some people would, some people wouldn't. Those that would consider it deserve respect. Those in the other camp will have to contend with karma.
